Scooter Bay Sales Company was founded by Scott Shoub in 1996 as a seafood procurement company. In 1998, Scooter Bay Sales Company was formed as a retail brokerage
division, with an emphasis on perishables, covering Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Wisconsin.
From these humble beginnings, Scooter Bay Sales Company re-defined the retail brokerage business in the Midwest, establishing a new level of manufacturer expectations and extraordinary performance.
Scooter Bay Sales Company built a complete state of the art test kitchen to allow manufacturers and customers to sit together and sample new food products in a clean, comfortable and collaborative environment.
Today, Scooter Bay Sales Company represents over 40 industry professionals working with a multitude of different brands. Scooter Bay Sales Company’s sales representatives are extremely passionate and work in a professional manner to assist national, regional and local customers, in over 400 store locations within the Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin markets.
A business graduate from Illinois State University (1985), Scott was raised in the NW Suburbs of Chicago, and began his career in the foodservice business, as an operations manager for The Levy Restaurant Group.
1n 1989, Scott left Levy Org, to join a division of Dean Foods, and head up their largest foodservice sales force at William Robinson Dairy, Chicago, IL.
Scott was introduced to retail sales, in 1992, when he was hired by Ocean To Ocean Seafood Sales (a division of Icelandic Seafood USA) to run their Midwest Sales Office, in Chicago, IL.
In February, 1996, Scott resigned from Icelandic, to start Scooter Bay Seafood Sales Company- Chicago, IL, a seafood broker/trading/importing company.
In October, 1998, Scott began a retail brokerage division, known as Scooter Bay Sales Company. “Scooter Bay” currently represents 40+ retail principals, and employs 22 full time support and sales associates, along with upwards of 15 part-time, in-store merchandisers.
Scott’s family includes his wife Kristin, their 2 children (Matthew, and Jessica), and 2 dogs (Peyton, and Turk).
